Abu Dhabi Real Estate Surges Ahead: Global Market Leader with Record-Breaking Growth

Abu Dhabi is solidifying its status as a leading force in global real estate — a theme that will take center stage at the 14th International Real Estate & Investment Show (IREIS 2025), running from September 12–14 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

Fueled by a robust economy, world-class infrastructure, and a commitment to sustainable urban planning, the emirate continues to attract global investors. Its skyline reflects this momentum, with demand for premium properties, long-term investment opportunities, and lifestyle-driven developments steadily on the rise.

Impressive Growth in Numbers
According to the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC), Q1 2025 transaction values jumped 34.5% year-on-year to AED 25.3 billion across 6,896 deals, compared to AED 18.82 billion from 5,773 transactions a year prior.

  • Buy & Sell Transactions: AED 15.51 billion across 3,819 deals, a 26.7% rise in value and 11% increase in volume.
  • Mortgage Transactions: AED 9.8 billion through 3,077 deals — a 49% surge over Q1 2024.

This builds on 2024’s performance, which recorded 28,249 transactions worth AED 96.2 billion — up 24.2% in volume and 10.45% in value compared to 2023.

Across the UAE, the property market remained strong with 331,300 transactions valued at nearly AED 893 billion in 2024, with off-plan sales accounting for 61% of total value — a clear indicator of strong investor appetite for new developments.
