Yousif Ahmed AlMutawa Named Chief Real Estate Officer at Shurooq

SHARJAH – The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has appointed Yousif Ahmed AlMutawa as its new Chief Real Estate Officer, expanding his leadership role beyond his current position as CEO of Sharjah Sustainable City. In this new role, AlMutawa will guide Shurooq’s overarching real estate strategy across Sharjah and the Northern Emirates.

AlMutawa’s expanded responsibilities will include overseeing strategic planning, strengthening investor relations, and steering sustainable community development. His appointment reflects Shurooq’s ongoing commitment to positioning Sharjah as a leading destination for values-driven, culturally rooted real estate projects.

Under his direction, Shurooq aims to elevate the emirate’s real estate landscape by prioritizing livability, heritage, and people-centric design. A major focus will be on initiatives like Ajwan Khorfakkan, a coastal development that blends lifestyle, recreation, and sustainability to create a modern yet authentic living experience.

AlMutawa, who began his journey with Shurooq in 2006, brings nearly two decades of experience in project management, construction, operations, investment, and property development. He holds a degree in e-commerce from the Higher Colleges of Technology – Sharjah, is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and is a member of the Project Management Institute as well as the Real Estate Sector Business Group within the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

Combining academic credentials with extensive hands-on expertise, AlMutawa is seen as a visionary leader well-positioned to deliver ambitious, forward-looking projects aligned with Sharjah’s development goals. His appointment comes at a time of accelerating growth in the emirate’s real estate market, fueled by investor confidence, a stable regulatory framework, and a rising global interest in Sharjah’s unique blend of culture, community, and sustainability.
